The “Geofence Management” tab in the Admin Console allows you to create, view, and manage geofences for various outdoor locations. Geofences are virtual boundaries that trigger notifications or actions when someone enters or exits the area.  

Geolocation Data Access 

• The Geolocation Data Access setting is an optional yet powerful security feature. When enabled, this ensures that an employee can only log into the staff app when they are physically within the geofenced area set for the event location. 

• This is particularly useful for managing access to sensitive areas or for ensuring that employees are on-site when using the app to interact with guest data. 

• For example, if a staff member is supposed to manage the VIP area at “East Boulevard Arena,” the geofence would limit their access to the Gaia app until they are within the defined location perimeter, ensuring they are on-site and ready to work. 

Here’s how to use the Geofence Management feature: 

1. Accessing Geofence Management 

• Navigate to the “Geofence Management” tab from the left sidebar in the Admin Console. This will display a map and a list of existing geofences associated with the selected event. 

2. Viewing Existing Geofences 

• On the left side, you will see a list of geofences currently active or configured. Each geofence card shows the name, address, and range of the geofence. 

• The map on the right side visually represents the location of these geofences, making it easy to see their placement geographically. 

3. Filtering and Searching Geofences 

• You can filter geofences by location using the dropdown menu above the list of geofences. This helps narrow down the geofences to those associated with a specific venue. 

• Additionally, there’s a search bar to find a geofence by name, which is useful when managing multiple geofences. 

4. Adding a New Geofence 

• To create a new geofence, click on the “Add New” button at the top right. 

Add New Geofence Form: 

• Location (Optional): If applicable, select a predefined location from the dropdown menu. 

• Geofence Name: Enter a unique name for the geofence. 

• Address: Provide the address of the geofence’s central point. 

• Latitude and Longitude: You can autofill these fields based on the address, or manually enter the coordinates. 

• Range (in meters): Specify the radius of the geofence in meters. This determines how far the geofence extends from the central point. 

• Status: Set the status of the geofence (e.g., Active, Inactive). 

• After entering the required details, click “Submit” to create the geofence. The new geofence will appear in the list and on the map.
