Filter Management

The “Filter Settings” tab in the Admin Console lets users define and manage filters applied across various parts of the Gaia Platform, including Lists and the Journey page. These filters help in categorizing items, people, or access levels, making it easier to sort and manage data. Here’s how the filter settings work:

1. Filter Categories

  • Type: This filter is used to categorize different types of entities such as people or objects. For example:
    • Worker
    • Driver
    • Truck
    • Vehicle
    • Guests
    • Fans
  • Access: This filter manages access levels or permission statuses. Common access types include:
    • Authorized
    • Unauthorized
    • Any other specific access level related to the platform’s use case.
  • Status: This filter allows for sub-categorization within a “Type.” For example, under “Guest” or “Person,” you could have:
    • VVIP
    • VIP
    • Regular
    • Custom statuses related to different user needs (e.g., Active, Inactive, Suspended).

2. Adding a New Filter Option

  • To add a new filter option within any category, click the plus (+) icon next to the desired filter category. A prompt will allow you to name and create the new filter option.

3. Editing or Deleting a Filter Option

  • Each filter option has an edit icon (pencil) and a delete icon (trash) next to it. Clicking the pencil icon lets you modify the filter name or details, while the trash icon allows you to remove the filter option altogether.

4. Application of Filters

  • These filter settings will be applied across the platform in sections like the “Lists” and “Journey” pages. By defining filters here, users can easily categorize and search for specific entities, making it more efficient to manage large amounts of data.

This feature provides great flexibility, allowing users to tailor the system’s filters according to the needs of their organization, whether it’s tracking personnel, vehicles, or other entities.
