How to recognize guests with camera

The Gaia Platform enables guest recognition through integration with existing or additional cameras at key touchpoints. Here’s how it works:

  1. Integration with Existing Cameras
  • Gaia can integrate with your existing CCTV or other camera systems as long as they meet the required specifications. Alternatively, additional cameras can be installed if needed to cover specific areas or meet technical requirements.
  1. Specifications for Cameras
  • Frames Per Second (FPS): The camera should have an FPS of at least 12 to ensure smooth video quality.
  • Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP): Cameras should support RTSP for continuous data transmission.
  • Lighting: Proper lighting is crucial; faces must be evenly illuminated with diffused light at a minimum of 200 lux for accurate recognition.
  • Scene and Camera Angle: The frontal perspective of guests’ faces captured by the cameras should not exceed a +/- 15° angle to ensure accurate recognition.
  1. Facial Recognition Process:

  1. Once a guest is within the camera’s view, Gaia’s Facial Recognition system identifies the individual.
  1. The guest’s profile, along with any relevant details or preferences, then appears on the Gaia Staff App. This allows staff to quickly access information and provide personalized service to the guest.

This integration enhances guest experience and helps staff stay informed in real time, allowing for seamless guest interactions across different areas.
